Port Hoops offers a Skills & Development program to players in 1st through 4th grade (both Boys & Girls). The program consists of 10-12 practices where younger players will begin to learn the fundamentals of the game. Practices start in late November or early December. This program is a great way to get your player started with basketball. Skills and Development is also a great program if you are unsure your player is ready for 3rd or 4th grade team play.
We have lots of opportunities for parent involvement. Please contact your team's coach to see if they need any assistance. There are volunteer opportunities at any events and tournaments that we host. Watch your email or our facebook page for these opportunities or you can email porthoopsboard@gmail.com to find out more opportunities to volunteer.
Port Hoops will use a tiered refund approach depending on when the request is made. Our final uniform orders are due after the August registration period ends. League registration for the LBL and WYBL occurs in September. We can offer a partial refund (registration minus uniform charge) through September 15. After September 15, we cannot offer refunds because teams and tournaments are paid for.
